The students of Swiftwater Learning Center have been recognized for their outstanding commitment to service, receiving the Kittitas County Youth Award in the Large Group category. This honor is especially meaningful as schools and youth groups from across the county were considered, and Swiftwater was selected as the top group in this category.
Throughout the year, Swiftwater students have made a lasting impact on the upper county through a wide range of community projects. From planting flowers for Cle Elum in Bloom, to volunteering during Pioneer Days cleanups, to hosting a plant sale that funds future student-led initiatives, their dedication to service is clear. In addition, they've provided behind-the-scenes support for both school and local events, always ready to lend a hand.
What truly stands out is the friendly, proactive attitude these students bring to every effort. Their willingness to step up and contribute—paired with genuine care for their community—exemplifies the best of youth leadership and service.
Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is incredibly proud of its Swiftwater students for earning this well-deserved recognition. Their actions remind us that meaningful change starts with those who show up, work hard, and give back.
Congratulations to all the students involved—way to go Summiteers!
