Transportation Reminder: SmartTag Use Required

Dear Families,

The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District Transportation Department would like to remind families of the importance of students using their SmartTag cards each time they ride the bus. SmartTags help us maintain accurate ridership records, support student safety, and improve communication with families.

We’ve noticed a few students with new cards who may not be scanning regularly. Please remind your student to scan their SmartTag when boarding and exiting the bus.

There is a $5 replacement fee after the third lost card and any additional SmartTag cards that need to be printed. Continued lack of SmartTag use may result in a temporary pause of bus privileges until the student is in compliance.

If you have questions or need a replacement card, please contact the Transportation Department at 509-852-4832.

The Incident Command Team is temporarily housed at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School for the next few days as they coordinate local fire response efforts. We kindly ask that the community avoid the areas being used by Incident Command so emergency personnel can do their work effectively.

All other student and school activities are continuing as scheduled today, including Band Camp. We will be closely monitoring air quality conditions throughout the day to ensure student safety.

All School Activities CANCELLED Tonight

Dear Families,
Soon, many of the ParentSquare text messages you get from our school will come from regular 10-digit phone numbers. This will make it easier to see who is messaging you. For example, a message from your child’s teacher will come from a different phone number than a message from the school office.

What’s changing?
Right now, most texts come from a 5-digit number. Soon, you’ll start getting texts from different regular 10-digit phone numbers for:

  • Direct messages

  • Classroom and group posts

  • School posts

Messages from the district, digests and alerts will still come from the 5-digit number.

What should you do?
When you receive a message from one of these new 10-digit numbers, save it to your contacts. Here are some suggestions:

  • Save a teacher’s number as: Ms. Davis - 4th Grade

  • Save classroom/group posts as: Lincoln Elementary Classes

  • Save school posts number as: Lincoln Elementary Updates
