This week, our 1st and 2nd graders dove into the world of swimming and water safety at the Suncadia pools! Thanks to the generous grant from the Suncadia Community Enhancement Fund, our young learners had the opportunity to receive invaluable instruction in swimming skills and water safety practices. We're grateful for this enriching experience that promotes health and safety for our students!

The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is hosting our 13th annual “Celebration of Student Learning” on Thursday, May 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This Celebration’s goal is to shine a light on our community of lifelong learners and celebrate the demonstration of their learning in a variety of ways including projects and activities which will be on display for you. On April 2nd our team installed new phones throughout the district. While we are able to keep the main office numbers for each school and district, it is temporary and will be fully transitioned on June 30th. This means the way you reach us will change. Partial Solar Eclipse Eye Safety: with the solar eclipse that will be partially visible tomorrow, Monday, April 8th, we want to take a moment to remind you of the importance of safety precautions for your child's eyes during this rare celestial event. Students will be instructed not to look or glance directly at the sun during the eclipse. While this precaution is being taken, it is essential for parents/guardians to reinforce this message at home, emphasizing the dangers of looking at the sun even when it is partially obscured during the eclipse. In the event that your child experiences any symptoms related to eye discomfort or vision changes following the eclipse, it is crucial to seek professional evaluation from an eye care specialist. Please remember that our school staff are not qualified to assess for eye damage, and it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure the well-being of their children in such circumstances. We appreciate your cooperation in prioritizing the safety and health of our students during this exciting astronomical event. This week our district office is welcoming 68 of our youngest learners for the much-anticipated Early Learning Roundup. This heartwarming experience marks the beginning of an exciting journey for our youngest learners as we identify those who will be eligible to enroll in our early learning programs. With enthusiasm, our dedicated team will be engaging in screenings and activities tailored to uncover each child's unique strengths and readiness for preschool and transitional kindergarten. This is a friendly reminder that all schools are on a Half Day Early Release schedule today. The Elementary School will be released at 12:25pm. and the Middle and High Schools will be released at 12:30pm. Buses will be running on an early release time as well. Reminder! Elementary School Conferences start tomorrow: March 12th - March 14th (Evening Conferences are offered the evening of March 14th from 4:00pm-6:30pm). The Elementary School will be released at 12:25PM on these days, and bus services will run early release times (MS and HS will remain on a regular school and bus schedule, March 12th - 14th). Please Note: Friday, March 15th, is an Early Release day for ALL SCHOOLS. 12:25pm - Elementary, and 12:30pm for the Middle School and High School.
