The Secure and Teach has been lifted for all buildings in the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District per the notification by the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. We are now allowing students to move throughout their day normally, including between the buildings.
Thank you for your patience with this process. Our students did a great job following directions and listening to staff this morning. Counselors are available at each building if students or staff would like support after this stressful situation
All buildings in the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District are currently in a Secure and Teach due to police activity in the community. Students are allowed to transition between classes, teachers are continuing to teach but students are not allowed to leave the buildings or travel between buildings at this time. We are also not admitting visitors into the buildings at this time. We will continue to stay in a Secure and Teach until the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office notifies us to do so. We also request that parents do not call the school to request additional details from staff at this time.

On The Spot Admissions Event for Seniors is CANCELED today.
Central WA University is rescheduling their On the Spot Admission day with us and will no longer be today, December 1st. Cle Elum-Roslyn High School will keep seniors and families updated as we get more information for our new registration day.
If you have questions, please reach out to Ms. Abbey Howell the HS Counselor (howella@cersd.org) or Sarah Day the Director of Career and College Readiness (days@cersd.org).
Last night we inducted 24 scholars into the Cle Elum- Roslyn Chapter of the National Honor Society. These students demonstrate the four pillars of the National Honor Society: leadership, scholarship, service, and character. Congratulations Warriors! We are extremely proud of you!
Scholars, please remember Mrs. Day's advise:
The more adults that see you serving the community, the more they are inspired to serve too. In a small town, it can’t just be the same handful of people helping or serving others. That is not sustainable. Warriors I am asking you to step up and join us. When you do, it will be powerful. I know some of you have talked about being nervous to help out but even your presence is appreciated. You raise the bar for all of us, young and old when you show up and pitch in.
Cle Elum-Roslyn High School is very excited partner with CWU to provide your senior with a truly unique admissions experience. The goal of "On the Spot" admissions events is to provide a fast and transparent admissions process for your students so that we can celebrate on the spot!
During our "On the Spot" admissions event your students will be able to:
- Complete their application
- Receive an immediate evaluation of their high school transcripts
- Receive an offer of admission, if eligible.
Your student must meet these criteria in order to participate
- Have above a cumulative 2.5 GPA
- Have less than 3 missing CADR courses
If your student meets the criteria, they will be given the opportunity on Friday, December 1st, 2023 to apply for CWU. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Abbey Howell (howella@cersd.org) or Mrs. Sarah Day (days@cersd.org).

We are grateful for ASB who planned a fun lunchtime assembly on Tuesday and then beautifully decorated the commons for a special lunch yesterday. We are also grateful for the first responders who joined us for that lunch to serve our students pie. Hearing so much laughter and chatter fill the air while our students enjoyed having pie with friends was heartwarming.
Happy Thanksgiving Warriors!!
We are thankful for each one of you!
Yesterday students traveled to KVH to learn more about careers in Healthcare. They did a great job asking questions and engaging with professionals from HR, Doctors, Nurses, Engineering and IT. Students also learned more about KVH Apprenticeship programs and were inspired by a demonstration on Stop The Bleed.
The Warriors that attended have hopes of one day becoming ER Nurses, Ultra Sound Technicians, Physical Therapists, Nutritionists, Pediatric Nurses, Radiology Technicians, Pharmacists, Accountant AND a Heart Surgeon.
Industry experiences like these are an exciting opportunity for our students. If you and your business, would be interested in hosting a student experience, reach out to Sarah Day (days@cersd.org) in the Career Center to learn more!
This Tuesday (11/21) and Wednesday (11/22) will be on altered bell schedules. Please take a look at our ParentSquare post to view the schedules:
