High School and Beyond Plan

What is the High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP)?
The HSBP is a personalized roadmap that helps students set goals, plan their coursework, and explore future career paths. It is also a graduation requirement for all students in Washington.

Starting in 7th grade, students begin building their HSBP, updating it each year until graduation. As part of the process, they take a Career Inventory Quiz to explore careers that align with their interests and strengths—it’s always exciting to see how their plans evolve over time!

One exciting opportunity our students have enjoyed is a field trip to Central Washington University (CWU) to learn about college life and future possibilities. Our 8th graders recently had a fantastic time exploring the campus and gaining valuable insights into higher education!

The HSBP is one of three key graduation components, along with Credit & Subject Area Requirements and Graduation Pathway Options. This process ensures that students, parents, and teachers work together to support a smooth transition beyond high school!
