Dear Cle Elum-Roslyn School Community:
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about the progress on our early learning improvements. We’ve put together a short video to provide you with a glimpse of the amazing changes happening at our school.
Here’s a brief overview of what’s underway:
New Classrooms: We’re expanding with a new 4-pack of classrooms, adding a total of 8 spaces for our 4th and 5th graders. This expansion is crucial for accommodating our increasing enrollment and providing more early learning options in age appropriate spaces.
Early Learning Wing Remodel: Our early learning wing is being remodeled to better meet the needs of our youngest students. This includes updated counter heights, more easily supervised bathrooms, and state-of-the-art play facilities designed for different age groups with appropriate separation for safe, engaging play.
Enhanced Play Area: We’re upgrading our play area with asphalt and fall mats to enhance safety and well-being. These improvements will ensure a secure environment for our students to enjoy.
We’re pleased to report that everything is on track and progressing as planned. While we do anticipate minor delays with some outdoor playground components, we have comprehensive backup plans in place to ensure we stay on schedule.
A heartfelt thank you to our community for your continued support of our school levies, which are instrumental in funding these upgrades. We also managed to utilize federal COVID relief funds to help mitigate the tax burden on our community.
We invite you to watch the video to see the progress for yourself and get a closer look at how these improvements will benefit our students. Your support has been invaluable, and we are excited to share these advancements with you.
Thank you once again for your commitment and support!
All my best and be well,
John H. Belcher
