Scott Brown selected as new High School Principal

Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is excited to welcome Scott Brown as the new Principal of Cle Elum-Roslyn High School! With over 28 years in education, including 21 years in administrative leadership, Mr. Brown brings a student-centered approach, a commitment to high achievement, and a strong background in school leadership, assessment, and community engagement. For the past 18 years, Mr. Brown has served as Assistant Principal at Cashmere High School, where he has played a pivotal role in instructional leadership, staff development, student support, and school-wide improvement initiatives. 

His experience includes:

  • Providing observation, coaching, and evaluations to support staff in strengthening instructional effectiveness and fostering student growth.

  • Leading school-wide assessment and data-driven decision-making, ensuring high standards for learning.

  • Fostering a culture of belonging and positive relationships among students, staff, and the community.

  • Fiscal management with ASB funds, athletic budgets, and district-wide programs to support school operations.

  • Serving in multiple district-level roles, including District Assessment Coordinator, Civil Rights Officer, Community Truancy Board Facilitator, and Safety & Security Director—showcasing his versatility in leadership.

Beyond his administrative expertise, Mr. Brown has a deep-rooted passion for student engagement and athletics. As a former Athletic Director and coach for football and fastpitch, he understands the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping well-rounded students. His leadership led to the establishment of boys’ soccer at Cashmere High School.

An Ellensburg resident, Mr. Brown looks forward to working closer to home and strengthening connections with students, staff, and families. With his extensive leadership background, he is well-positioned to lead Cle Elum-Roslyn High School to new levels of success!

Scott will officially begin his duties on July 1st, 2025 but he will be transitioning into the role all Spring assisting with master schedule building and planning for next year to have a smooth start, and centering his focus on fostering strong relationships.
