Driving the district support vehicles is a 2 part process that takes less than an hour and a half to complete!

• Step 1: Get your driver's abstract and turn it in

The easiest way to get your driver's abstract is with the link to Department of Licensing below.  You will need to make an account to login, then select driver's abstract.  Choose full driving abstract, pay $15.00, print it, and turn into the Transportation Director Rosa Overton overtonr@cersd.org.  Alternatively, you can go to the Department of Licensing and order it in person.  Your abstract is good for 3 years.

• Step 2: Request access to Vector Training driving videos

Once abstract has cleared Rosa will request HR to assign the following videos: Distracted Driving - 12 minutes, Winter Driving - 15 minutes, and Van Safety - 28 minutes.  Once you have passed these 3 video classes you do not have to renew on them (unlike the abstract that is only good for 3 years). You will then speak to Rosa about protocols on fueling, and the driving of the vehicles as well as documenting mileage.

When requesting please make all non athletic requests to your school secretary, all trips are to be requested at least 10 days in advance, this makes sure the approval process is finished and there is a vehicle/driver available. You will need to have the Nurse and your Principal approve the request once it is put in by the secretary. As a reminder staff only can request vehicles.

All athletic requests must go through Peggy the Athletic Secretary.

Staff wishing to request a vehicle can also email Rosa with the details a overtonr@cersd.org-Details needed: When you are departing, where you are going, when are you returning, how many are going, and how many students are going? All of this information will go into Triptracker which is our trip program. It is only access able by a secretary or the Transportation Director

We have 3 available support vehicles, a 9 passenger van (9 + driver), front wheel dr. A 7 passenger Suburban (7+ driver) four wheel dr. A 7 passenger Yukon (7+ driver) four wheel dr. NO OFF ROADING PLEASE!
